Jed Alpert
Jed Alpert is the CEO and Co-founder of Mobile Commons, the leading provider of mobile technology for civic engagement. Prior to his post at the company, Alpert worked as an entertainment and media attorney on such films as Slingblade and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. He has also produced numerous feature films, including Sunday, winner of the 1997 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award.
Emma Canarick
Emma Canarick is the Program Officer of the Pacific Foundation, a grant-making organization concerned with addressing issues of social justice, the environment, arts, and technology. She previously served as the Director of Development at Advocates for Children of New York, as well as Director of Institutional Giving at the Community Service Society of New York.
John S. Johnson
John S. Johnson is the Founder of the Harmony Institute and EYEBEAM, a non-profit center focused on exploring art and technology through education, production, research, and development. He is also Co-founder of BuzzFeed.com, one of the fastest growing viral media and web trending sites today. In 2003, Johnson was a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, a global forum that promotes enlightened and morally responsible leadership.
Jonah Peretti
Jonah Peretti is Co-founder of The Huffington Post, and more recently Founder of BuzzFeed.com, a viral network with over 15 million unique visitors every month. He’s been called a “viral marketing hotdog” by the New York Times, “the poster boy of guerilla media” by AlterNet.org, and a “computer-whiz” by The New Yorker. Peretti is a graduate of the MIT Media Lab, and has taught at NYU and Parsons School of Design.
Adam Wolfensohn
Adam Wolfensohn is currently the Managing Director at Wolfensohn & Company, an investment and advisory firm focused on emerging market economies. In 2007, Wolfensohn debuted a documentary on climate change at the Sundance Film Festival titled Everything’s Cool. He has also worked in carbon finance with Conservation International to create carbon neutral concert events for the Vans Warped Tour and Pearl Jam.
