The Research Director is responsible for leading the development and execution of research that supports HI’s vision, mission, and objectives. Research Intern – Summer 2012

The Harmony Institute has 2 internship positions for Summer 2012. The Institute seeks research interns to work in: social issue research, evaluation, media research, nonprofit management. The position requires a commitment of 4 days per week. Start and end dates are flexible.

Qualified applicants should possess a strong interest in and understanding of media and/or social science research and/or social issues. Interns should have strong research, writing and communication skills.

Duties include
• Social media research
• Research into behavioral science literature
• Social issue research

General Intern duties may include:
• Help with quantitative and qualitative evaluation
• Assistance in creation of marketing materials, presentations and website
• Foundation and donor research
• Administrative work – organizing meetings, creating mailings, note taking, data analysis, etc.

Relevant majors include: Anthropology, Communication, Media Studies, Nonprofit Management, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Public Affairs, Public Policy, Sociology
